Nollywood Star, Omotola Plans 5-Day Grand 40th Birthday

Nollywood star, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, will be 40 on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, and she has lined up a series of activities to commemorate it.

Slated to be a 5-day extravaganza, the events will kick off on February 7 and stretch all the way to February 11.  First on the line up of activities would be a ‘Widows and Orphans Birthday Outreach’. Then, ‘A Couples’ Retreat’, a ‘Symposium On Mental Slavery And The Emancipation Of The Black Race’ and finally ‘A Grand Ball’, which will hold in a yet-to-be-announced venue.

Omotola, it would be recalled, ventured into acting at the age of 17 in 1995. Her debut appearance was in Venom of Justice. Her career, however, experienced massive boom after her award-winning role in Mortal Inheritance, alongside Fred Amata.

The movie was directed by Andy Amenechi. Her role in Kingsley Ogoro’s ‘The Prostitute’ further ballooned her career. And much later she featured in Ije, Blood Sisters, Last Wedding, etc.

Omotola is from Ondo State, and she is married to Matthew, a pilot and they are blessed with four wonderful children. Their wedding, over two decades ago, was a talk-of-the-town, it was held aboard a cruising aircraft and with dozens of colleagues, friends and family members in attendance.
